The Commandments

Rhythm and Soul Band

Pedro Alternative Profile

A native of old Mexico, Pedro De Aranjuez Garcia followed the family musical tradition,

took up the Peruvian harp at an early age and joined a Mariachi marching band. But being

often marooned on street corners, took up something more portable and switched to ocarina,

becoming a world master at both its execution and manufacture.

A chance fishing trip led him to Cuba, playing slide banjo in Castros house band in Havana,

then, fleeing JFKs missile threat, he found himself in Paris, backing French rocker,

Johnny Hallyday. It was here he was spotted by restauranteur and international playboy

Tim Kendall who told him he was just far too loud.
